Sinus tachycardia 108/min
Repetitive multiform ventricular tachycardia 118-280/min
Comment:
There is no mistaking the bursts of VT for aberrancy. It may well be a ventricular form of the Parkinson-Papp syndrome – runs of tachycardia separated by one or a few sinus beats. True to form, it was very difficult to suppress. Coronary angiography and EPS were not helpful. The patient was eventually discharged on sotalol, to an uncertain future.
Another similar trace is shown below (Fig 219a) with a normal follow-up trace, except for sinus tachycardia (Fig 219b).
