VT Slowing into AIVR

Report:

Sinus rhythm

Ventricular tachycardia 140/min

Accelerated idioventricular rhythm 80-100/min

Comment:

Oddly enough, I have never seen AIVR speed up into a VT, but VT slowing into an AIVR is common enough. It is usually a relatively slow VT which does that. The only reason that suggests itself may be that VT is recorded and treated, while AIVR usually isn’t: the observed transitions are all one-way!
