Hypokalæmia
Report:
Sinus rhythm
Diffuse nonspecific ST/T changes
Comment:
The potassium level was 1.9. It is uncommon to see this degree of T wave inversion. The inverted T waves merge into the still upright U waves, resembling digoxin/quinidine combination of old95. The ST segment depression, however, remains concave upward (like in LVH) and is less reminiscent of digoxin effect.
There were no arrhythmias.
À propos of LVH, it may cause similar ST/T changes, as well as prominent U waves; but the anteroseptal ST depression in lieu of elevation should suggest hypokalæmia96.
