Comment:
The degree of fusion varies with the P-VEB interval. With only a minor degree of ventricular contribution to fusion, the late-diastolic VEBs may pass unnoticed or be mistaken for effects of respiratory artefact, which in fact happened.
The ventricular ectopic activity persisted and was not treated specifically. Below on this page is an example of bigeminy, from the same “focus”, four days later. No fusion here: the PR interval shortening for the VEBs is too large.
